Welcome to (climate) change
Many people associate climate change with catastrophes on other continents and supposedly hardly any changes in Germany and Europe. However, the effects of global climate change do not stop at national borders. Experts predict far-reaching consequences for the environment and society if the effects of climate change cannot be minimised.
The exhibition “We are all witnesses – people in climate change” gives climate change a face. People from Africa, South America, Asia and Europe report on the consequences of climate change that can already be felt today. The examples are supplemented with background information and country-specific information. The exhibition includes examples from 15 countries and offers a lot of information about climate, adaptation to climate change and climate justice.
We are pleased to make our updated exhibition available to you online. The exhibition is also available for loan. We look forward to your enquiries and of course feedback and ideas.
Have an interesting visit!

Climate Change
On 8 October 2018, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) presented its ‘Special Report on the Impacts of Global Warming of 1.5°C’ to the world. These two panels are based on key messages from this 1,100+ page report prepared by 91 authors from 40 countries, who considered 6,000 publications and 42,000 comments from scientists and governments.
Climate emergency
Public pressure is increasing, climate protection is coming more into focus; not least thanks to groups like Fridays for Future or Extinction Rebellion, which are massively drawing attention to the issues. More and more cities and communities around the world are reacting and taking action. They declare a climate emergency or adopt comparable declarations and thus send a strong signal for more municipal climate protection.
What can I do?
Everyone can contribute to more climate protection and sustainability!
We are confronted with challenges that not only affect the environment, but increasingly also social and economic aspects. In order to help shape a climate-friendly future, we have to start at different points and join forces: Be part of it, get involved …
