GOALS

In 2015, the 193 UN member states adopted the 2030 Agenda. Its core is an ambitious set of 17 goals for sustainable development – the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). They show that the quality of life of all people in the world is directly linked to the integrity of the environment and nature. These goals are closely interconnected and must be considered as a unified whole in order to promote sustainable development. Each goal influences and supports the others – achieving one goal often contributes to achieving additional ones.

THE EXHIBITION

This exhibition highlights the diverse and often dramatic impacts of the climate crisis on people and habitats worldwide. It addresses the consequences of glacier melting, biodiversity loss, urban heat, drought, flooding, changing precipitation patterns, and wildfires, illustrating how climate change is already shaping our lives today. Each topic is illustrated with two to three country examples in which affected people share their personal experiences.

These eyewitness accounts give climate change a face and make global challenges tangible. Learn how differently regions are affected, what strategies people around the world are developing to adapt, and why it is more urgent than ever to work together to address the causes of climate change.
